Fat Burners

Fat burners are an awesome way to shed pounds quickly. However, not all fat burners are made equal. Through my personal journey of weight loss, I have tried dozens of different fat burners, some of which were far from effective.

But don’t let that discourage you- there are some wonderful products out there that DO live up to their hype and will have fat melting off your body in a matter of weeks. Although everyone reacts to each product differently, there are a few products that have worked exceptionally well for the vast majority of people who used them.

Fat burners work by boosting your metabolic rate. As you age, your metabolism slows, making it more difficult to stay slim or lose weight. Some people, however,  are born with slow metabolisms, so weight is quickly put on,even if  healthy eating habits are present.

Taking fat burners will help you supercharge your metabolic rate so that everything in your body is moving more quickly, allowing you to easily burn unwanted fat very quickly. Most pills contain strong appetite suppressants as well, which means you won’t feel the need to eat as much. Meanwhile, your body is burning fat twenty four hours a day.

However, if possible, it is ideal to keep an exercise regimen while taking the pills to move your weight loss along as quickly as possible. What’s awesome about fat burners is that they will give you a drastic increase in energy levels, so

Fat Burnersyou will be able to rocket through even the most demanding workouts. However, it is certainly not necessary to exercise to lose weight; and many of us simply don’t have time to workout- that’s why burners are a perfect weight loss solution.

Types of Fat Burners

There are a few types of fat burners.

  • Thermogenic
  • Appetite Suppressants
  • Carbohydrate Blockers
  • Thyroid Regulators
Thermogenic Burners
These are by far the most used.  As discussed above, they work by raising your metabolism. They often also contain stimulants such as affeine, yohimbe, or synephrine hcl.

Appetite Suppressants

If you have an insatiable appetite that you have a difficult time controlling, this is a great choice for you.  Your appetite will decrease, and so will your waistline.

Carbohydrate Blockers

Carb blockers are very effective for many people, as carbohydrates are a major cause of weight gain. When we eat them, we are often left wanting more. What’s worse, is that a few hours lady you are hungry again. These  blockers help to eliminate carbs from the body before your body even has a change to absorb them.

Thyroid Regulators

Many people suffer from under-active thyroids that fail to release the correct chemicals needed for a normal metabolic rate. The result is unwanted weight gain that is nearly impossible to conquer. A thyroid regulator will contain the two chemicals necessary for normal thyroid functioning- guggulsterone and forskolin. These two chemicals will bring your thyroid and metabolism back to homeostasis.

The Three Ways Fat Burners Work

Fat burners are a category of food supplement that is expressly designed to aid the consumer in losing weight by burning off extra calories each day. As with any weight loss supplements, whether these are suitable for you due to any kind of medication or existing medical condition is something you will need to consult your doctor or pharmacist about.

People want fat burners because, simply, people want to be thin. In modern society, weight is almost directly tied to beauty, and so any product or supplement that can help one lose weight reliably is highly sought after.

While they are often a convenient shortcut, there is in reality no substitute for the two main methods of losing weight and keeping it off: healthy diet and regular exercise. Without these, fat burning supplements will not work effectively and you may not notice and benefit at all.

Fat burners work using one or more of the following methods:

  • Appetite suppressant – Fat burners often use a hormone called leptin to help suppress your appetite. Leptin works by attaching to the hypothalamus region of the brain and is naturally released after you have eaten a meal, to let the body know that it is no longer hungry. By increasing the amount of leptin in your body, you will find yourself being less hungry throughout the day and should therefore be easily able to avoid snacking.
  • Burn fat – Some fat burners use drugs and hormones that encourages your body to break down fat cells into fatty acids, which are then circulated around the body. This occurs naturally when there is an immediate need for an energy source (e.g. during exercise) in order to increase your energy levels.
  • Block fat – Some fat burners sometimes use fat binders, which attach to receptors that fat would have occupied, preventing the body from absorbing the fat from the digestive system and storing it as fat cells in the body. The unabsorbed fats are then excreted as usual.

Studies show that appetite suppressants have surprising effects in your day-to-day life. For example, a recent study showed that people were likely to buy almost twice as much food when they went food shopping while hungry. They were also inclined to make unhealthy luxury purchases, rather than sticking to their strict diet regime.

As even the best fat burners aren’t prescription drugs, they do not have to follow strict FDA guidelines, and most of them do not. This means that less-reputable manufacturers do not have to scientifically substantiate their claims and therefore can make outrageous claims about the amount of fat their fat burner can help you burn.

There are several that do have proven clinical effects, however, such as Hydroxycut. This fat burner is amongst the most popular in the world, with over a million units sold per year. After evidence that Hydroxycut was linked to liver failure, the product was reformulated in 2009 and is now back on the market.

Although like most products in this area, there still needs to be significant scientific research done, Hydroxycut is actually endorsed by a real doctor (Dr. Jon Marshall, a graduate and current resident of Midwestern University’s osteopathic medical school), and it was formulated by Dr. Marvin Heuer, from the University of Florida.

Most natural fat burners are sourced from plants, but this is not always a guarantee of safety. In April 2004, the FDA banned the use of ephedra, a plant commonly known as Mormon Tea, which is a stimulant and a thermogenic fat burner (it increases the body temperature through metabolic stimulation).

Although a part of traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of asthma and hay fever for over 5,000 years, in recent years it was being added to fat burner supplements. There were early concerns about ephedra supplements by the medical community, and the FDA noted the high rate of side effects and several ephedra-related deaths. Though this has been legally challenged multiple times, the evidence shows that ephedra caused the negative side effects.

None of the fat burning pills you can buy today contain ephedra, so this is no longer a cause for alarm.

The best weight loss pills should not help you lose more than 3-5 lbs of weight per week. This is the maximum safe amount to lose – any more and your body may think that it is being poisoned, and you may suffer from adverse reaction.

Phen375 is one of the most comprehensive weight loss pills on the market. It is marketed primarily as an appetite suppressant, and also is a thermogenic-inducer, so it will not only reduce the amount of food you want to eat but also help you burn off the fat you already have stored in your body.

Like any reputable fat burner, Phen375 is manufactures in an FDA-approved laboratory. If the product is not manufactured in an FDA-approved laboratory, you should be wary of its content. It may be that the pills have no benefit or come with negative side effects.

Most fat burners do not have significant side effects, and the manufacturers will be quite quick to advertise that they do not have side effects. If the manufacturers do not stress this point, it is likely that they do contain side effects and you should research their product more thoroughly before using it.

Some fat burners may use specific ingredients, such as chilli powders, that may cause allergic reactions to people who are sensitive to them. Always make sure you check the ingredients list to ensure you aren’t taking something that will cause a reaction.

The major drawback for the best fat burners is merely the price. A fat burner such as Phren375 can cost $2.33 per tab (and you’ll take at least one tab per day), meaning that a month’s supply can cost almost $70.

Cheaper alternatives are available, but the adage of you get what you pay for applies to fat burners as much as it applies to any product, and if you want to pay less you will have to cope with the lesser quality of the product.

Losing weight with the help of these products has truly changed my life. Until now, I never knew what it felt like to truly be healthy. I feel like a completely new human being; i’m more active than I’ve ever been, more attractive than I’ve ever been, and I have more confidence than I know what to do with. And the safe use of fat burners played an invaluable role in my weight loss plan.

I created this site to help point people in the right direction.
